The Gastric Sleeve is a well-known surgical method for weight loss. During this procedure, the size of the stomach is surgically decreased to about one-third of its original volume. Specifically, to achieve this reduction, surgeons remove a significant portion of the stomach along the greater curvature. As a result, this action reshapes the stomach into a tubular form, frequently compared to a “sleeve”.
