I had my sleeve surgery on September 7th, 2022. I was greeted at the airport by the driver and taken to the hotel where Nellie met me and checked me in. The next day the driver picked me up at the hotel and took me to the Surgery Room where Nellie again met me for Surgery. The Surgery Room was clean and comfortable. All my needs were met by the very attentive staff. The hotel provided me with broth, jello, and popsicles. The driver picked me up the last day there and drove me back to the airport. They were in contact with me the entire time and I already have my 7 day post op appointment with Dr. Mendiola set up. Dr. Mendiola was awesome, very professional. All in all it was a great experience.
From the moment I talked to Sharon on the phone I knew I was going to go with TreVita. They made me feel comfortable from the start. Every question I had they were there to answer right away and never made me feel dumb. The hotel they put us up in is so beautiful and relaxing. They were there to pick me up from the airport and to help me check in to the hotel. They drove me to the hospital and helped me get checked in and stayed until I was settled in. Every step of the way they were there for me and made me feel like a person. They don’t shuttle you in by the van load like a lot of the other places. It’s much more one on one and that’s what I wanted. I didn’t want to feel like just another patient. Dr. Mendiola is AMAZING!! I could not have asked for a better surgeon. He is so kind and always available to answer questions. If you are thinking about using TreVita go for it because I promise you will not be disappointed!! Thank you TreVita! Also, big shout out to Nelly, you are amazing!!
I was sleeved on 8/22/22. I’m glad I went with Trevita over other options for several reasons. I also had a much better experience in the hospital in TJ than I have just about ever had in an American hospital. I saved over twenty plus thousand dollars w/them instead of going though insurance in America for this surgery. I could have the surgery as soon as I was ready with Trevita instead of jumping through hoops for a year plus with insurance. The ease of booking is a huge plus and the staff makes it easy to pay, plan, and prepare. These guys literally have you covered from the moment you talk to them until WELL AFTER you return home all for one price. I am doing well, healing quickly and am very happy with my decision to choose Trevita. I would do it again with them and my only regret is that I didn’t do this sooner.
As an ER nurse I was nervous to go outside the USA for medical services. I found TreVita doing research on my own. They helped me along the process to getting a vertical sleeve gastrectomy. They set up my hotel, transportation services, and followed me along my entire journey with frequent instant contact. I felt 100% safe, and worry free. They gave me amazing care, and worked really well with me to make sure I was comfortable both physically, and emotionally. As soon as Dr. Mendiola came into the room to introduce himself, and speak about the surgery I knew that I was in safe hands… as TreVita had told me all along. 100% would recommend TreVita for medical tourism, and would 100% recommend Dr. Mendiola and his medical team for bariatric surgery.
Everything was as seamless as possible. Every step of the way was planned by Eliza and I was always in contact with Fernanda and it really put my mind at ease. The surgery team was great as well. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the help I get from Fernanda, Eliza and the entire company. Upon arrival and departure and during our stay both Eliza and Fernanda were very helpful and made sure they took care of my every need, every question, every concern.. after departure if I ever had a question or concern. They were very fast to connect with me and respond or get me the help I needed. I would definitely recommend these two for sure but this entire company as a whole.
My experience with Trevita was great. Everyone was super attentive and very sweet. They made us feel like family! The accommodations were all wonderful. Getting surgery isn’t easy and going to another country isn’t easy, but the whole trip I was very relaxed, even through the pain. And, when I had any questions after returning home they have been quick to help me get the answers I need. Thank you so much for being part of my journey!!
