COVID TEST – A PCR test must be performed 3-5 days before your scheduled surgery day. We do not accept test results that are more than 5 days old.
PASSPORT – Make sure you have a valid passport. If you don’t, you must bring a driver’s license and your birth certificate. If your driver’s license does not match the full name on your birth certificate you must also bring your marriage certificate (if applicable).
PAYMENT – Final payment must be received at least 7 days before your scheduled surgery date. Please check your invoice for details.
BANK AND PHONE – Please call your bank and telephone company to let them know you are traveling to Mexico.
VIDEO CALL – A TreVita Concierge will schedule a video call 7 days before your surgery date.
TRANSPORTATION FORM – Please submit the Transportation form. Based on that information your TreVita Concierge will arrange your transportation to the hotel and hospital in Tijuana.
PRE-OP DIET – The majority of patients must start a pre-op diet 1 – 4 weeks before their surgery date. Look at the “How to Prep for Surgery” email to find out how many weeks you must be on the pre-op diet.
SURGERY – You must fast (no eating or drinking anything) for at least 8 hours before your surgery.
NSAIDs – Stop NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, Motrin, Aleve, Aspirin, etc.) 1 week before your surgery.
VITAMINS – Stop ALL vitamins and herbal supplements 1 week before surgery.
MEDICATION – If applicable, you might need to stop taking certain medications before your surgery. We will discuss the Doctor’s recommendations in our Video Call 1 week before surgery.
SMOKING – Stop smoking 2 weeks before surgery.
JEWELRY – Please leave all your rings, jewelry, and body piercings at home.
COMPANION – Your companion may stay with you in the hotel and hospital at no charge. If your companion opts to stay in the hotel while you are staying in the hospital, it won’t be covered by TreVita and they must pay the hotel for that time. If you have more than 1 companion, there will be additional fees for the hotel and transportation. Contact your TreVita Concierge if you need to add more than one companion.
